Every morning I walk my dog Bette and I think of a subject that keeps my mind occupied for a large block as I limp along and she pushes me most of the time.
Of course today being Memorial Day, I could not miss the flags especially the POW ones. They are black and morbid as they should be! They represent some of the best we as a country have and some that leave us way too early for a justified cause!
That is my discussion this morning, THE JUSTIFIED CAUSE! Do we make these up as we go along as a nation, a country a world? And why since we are all so religious do we find war as a way of life?
I don’t have the answer, but maybe, just maybe if people think on the subject and as the world connects more through online social networks we will see we have more of a reason for living than dying!
I can’t get out of my mind the 48 hour NBC special last night on the loss of 9 of our soldiers for absolutely nothing. Nothing was gained and no responsibility was taken for the mistakes made. Two days after losing 9 and injuring 27 our leaders decided to leave that area. Nothing gained lots lost.
I have never lost a son or daughter to war. But today I find it interesting that religion would attack a song by Lady Gaga that defines the worst in us, the best is always there. The Apostle John said it well "that the good I desire to do, but the bad I am constantly resting with"!
After centuries we find reason for losing those at the prime of their life! We did it for our civil war! We did it for World War 1 and 2 and today to stop them from coming here and killing us!
I strongly believe the trillions spend overseas should be spent watching our borders and taking care of our citizens. But then again who am I to decide what to do! Maybe someone should ask those that have lost loved ones as we remember them today. Do we find reasons for war instead of reasons to avoid war?
As a nation and as individuals we remember and love those we lost though we may never have known them. But as a nation and a people we should not only make Jesus a virtue but maybe just maybe someone we should cling to!

Adoption-A Boy
It's not an official adoption, but yes Robert and I have taken POA over a 21 YO! SO it's like having a child but without diapers! Of course these young men come with lots of baggage but have this enormous need to be loved!
The struggle between the need for love and total independence is amazing. The last 3 days of our adoption (as I call it) have been a struggle adjusting! It's like someone going through rehab!
Nevertheless we are in this for the long run! We will fight on his behalf until we find him on the path so that he contributes something to society.
Twelve years ago at a mid-life crisis I left to be what I am today. I id not do it right and I dedicate this to my x wife for NOW I understand what she went through with my biological son! I am sorry Isabel! You deserve everything I left you and more for the pain you must have gone through!
I think we both love our children today! Though they mature at different phases, both our biological children are over 30 (not that it mean maturity) and seem to be ok.
Robert and I now have this challenge, and after a long time instead of just thanking the creator I asked for wisdom to deal with this new member of our family!
Both Rob and I have lots of love to give Joey! Since Love conquers all, I believe the good will prevail!
Love to all of you who have children and those that have given the time to adopt those in need!

When superior powers manifest themselves
We had decided to bring Joe into our family weeks ago. Way before he ever knew that would be his path. When his mother approached us we opened our hearts and house for Joe! He has goals he has already 2 years of college and he is very smart besides being handsome.
Of course he like every one of us has baggage and our job is to unpack that package discard some items and work with others until this young man gets his life in order. But that was in another blog.
This blog is to show the rewards of helping others! My escort air conditioner has never worked. Yesterday when Joe and I went shopping the escort air conditioner started working full force. The car has not been to a garage, no one has touched it and there it is working.
Sometimes I have difficulty believing in a superior power. But time and time again through kindness it reminds me that this superior being is watchful and with little signs tells you that you’re going in the right direction.
I am grateful for Joe and now grateful for the air conditioner because hell returns this weekend.

The issue of Killing!
This weekend I had an online discussion with a very good friend of mine on this issue! He said I condoned the killing of children! As I reflect back now, he was right! The issue of when we kill, and why we kill, and if there is ever a good reason to kill is something I don't have to decide or ever will!
I am a true believer that we can sway people with common sense and love. The point is "people"! Some members of human society are not people they are monsters! We have seen that in murderers who when asked after being caught and interviewed, would they do it again? Express the will to do so. These monsters are not people! People or human beings were made in God's image sort of speak and therefore have great qualities such as Love, Joy, and Peace etc.
But then again here is another challenge! The God we all know is a God of war and throughout the centuries has allowed or even killed himself. It is a dilemma and like I said not one I will ever have to decide on!
This week there is lot's to celebrate about the killing of Osama (weird is sounds like (Obama) and the joy some have expressed at his death. Was it justified for what happened in 2011? Well that is a discussion for another blog. Was the President right in approving his killing? I don’t know I am not the judger of such actions!
I do believe that sometimes when monsters utilize humans as shields they become the casualties of war. I do believe some of the contributors to killing of millions were the Catholic Church and I do believe for personal reasons governments go to war and kill millions.
And finally I would "kill" someone that entered my circle and threaten my family or me! That I also believe is a build in God given quality!

Why Hillary for VP in 2012
There are some basic reasons for this move as follows:
Biden fell asleep during the presidents speech (he would of been out then if I was president)
Biden is old school
Biden is too old
Biden brings no masses to the presidency
Hillary has a following
Hillary is respected for what’s been done during her watch as SofS
Hillary looks presidential
The republicans will again push a woman to get the vote
And lastly when all is said and done! SHE CAN DO THE JOB!
