Pay up Mr. Warren Buffett
Warren Buffett owns GEIGO through Berkshire Hathaway, Mr Buffett you're a respected man so why don't you're companies like GEIGO pay out on large claims and make it miserable for consumers like me who for years never had an accident!
Shame on GEIGO, pay you're claims
I had a great policy with GEIGO 250k. It's 4 years later and I am still fighting with my lawyer to get PIP payouts for medical, loss of work, living assistance etc. They use every trick in the book including very old doctors that no longer practice for IME's to avoid payout.
GEIGO is a despicable company that charges the most for insurance and takes every possible step not to pay it's claims. This has been going on for 4 years! The accident was 100% the other drives fault according to GEIGO investigation. They change adjusters constantly to confuse the customer (me) and the lawyer.
What they don;t realize is they fight and thought it left me disabled I fight back ever day too.

Love the sinner, Hate sin!
This is a statement I heard a number of years ago from a co-worker of mine who worked for the FAA and was Baptist! This statement was made because of me being gay and you love a gay person but hate the sin of gay sex!
Jehovah's Witnesses have recently accepted the same standing on this subject. They still because of ignorance associate being gay to being an alcoholic, a born evil person with a desire to kill etc. Never mind that science proves otherwise they insist the Bible says so!
So lets quickly review the Bible without prejudice! Lot slept with his daughters supposedly because they though they were the last human survivors to procreate. Solomon had 1000 wife's, I guess to procreate though the main reason was he wanted to! Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed not because of gay people , BUT BECAUSE LOT COULD NOT FIND ONE GOOD HUMAN! Jesus never mentioned anything about not loving gay people and/or the act of homosexuality!
I get the point that man should not lay down with man because they could not procreate (though woman could lay down with woman)! But technology today is what the technology then and today gay men can procreate! I know lots of gay men who have had children from a willing woman , their mother!
Hate the sinner, but not the sin is like "don't ask, don't tell"! It's like when blacks were not allowed in JW's hall's (they don't call them churches)! It's like when they were against organized religion just to become one!
With time they changed and I am happy having a JW family that at least know I can be loved by them. My sexual behavior should be no-ones business as is not if you're a heterosexual, bisexual or no-sexual, as we all become as we age. To use ignorance and thereby keep people from finding love and being happy and supporting heterosexuality with a divorce rate of 60% (gay divorce rate is heading that way) is ignorant.
What they or religion don't talk about is that homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom and even the plant kingdom! It would make sense to stop population growth it would become prevalent in the human kingdom.
Maybe that is why Jesus never mentioned since he knew that was not an issue. Just like embracing a prostitute was not an issue! It's LOVE after all, that he stressed was needed and would show his people to be different!

Newt get the BOOT!
I know republicans are desperate! Their favorite front runner from the establishment is not being accepted by the people, Romney! I don;t blame them... He is not in touch with reality or the American people, come out as fake and just too perfect! Sometimes being a gay man I think he is a democratic candidate in a gay man's body.. GQ...

A Time To Recover!
It's hard to separate yourself from those around you even if they are virtual friends you may have never met. But as the holidays approach and it becomes a very emotional time for me, I need to start the thought process of distance!
As most of you know I had surgery recently and the healing process is a 4-8 week process taking me to mid December so if you call or email you may get " I am recovering from surgery and will be back Jan 5 2012", Happy Holidays"!
I will still follow CNN and blog as I see fit, but I need to stay away from stress and people that add the stress!
So, as I recover, I wish you all a Happy of Holiday's and will talk (may txt) sometime early 2012! Of course most of you know Rob so he can update you on my status!

A World of NEEDS and FORGETFULNESS
I recently was in the hospital and when you're in the hospital 5 days you get lots of time to think about questions one would never even consider. When I was working I would of had the laptop and worked from the hospital, but that'a another time.
I though seriously why do we needed reminders to think of our mothers, fathers, secretary's boss and even the CREATOR? Reminders to be thankful and reminders to say I LOVE YOU on valentine's day to someone special!
Well (I can actually take you to my childhood to explain what has happened to society! When I was a child (I was a sick child) I was hospitalized a few times and I remember it was a drop off pick up situation. You would be lucky if during you're stay a family member came to visit due to lack of transportation. This still traumatizes me today. And on my recent hospital stay though now as a man, I realize the same continues today!
We have become a nation or even a world of NEEDS and FORGETFULNESS!
Being a middle child I can understand the needs part! I was always and still do look for attention! It's like molded within me. I realize this challenge and try to deal with it. But it still bothers me that one can have 800-3000 friends or followers but not one calls you in time of need and with all the technology available that makes this easier.
Not that I am not deeply appreciated for the immediate family that calls or drops by but so much effort is put into relationships you wonder where is everyone else? And that is where the NEEDS/FORGETFULNESS comes in!
NEEDS: We have become used to feeling needed on special days created to be reminded we are parents, we are loved, we may be good bosses, we have a creator and we should be thankful for what it is we have. If it were not for those days we probably would not remember even these basics!
FORGETFULNESS: We are too busy running around trying to get somewhere we never reach to remember what we should! To love those we should! To appreciate the beauty in the world we should! No matter how many books are written we selfish self centered human beings think of one think, OURSELVES. And society has forced days upon us to feel guilty and for a day remember someone else!
There was a time I would call all my friends on my cell faithfully every weekend. It was a 10-1 and eventually I stopped. Maybe I was wrong but friendship is a two way street! When all is said and done the world moves on and it's those close to you, you're mother who gave you birth, maybe you're father if he was involved in you're life, a brother and/or sister you are close with and if you're lucky a friend or two (related or not).
A wise man said" if you can count you're friends in one hand you're a lucky person"! I can, and therefore I am lucky!

The importance of the human hand!
If you're a lucky person you wake up with someone you love holding you and having his hand around you. I We all know there is an arm but the importance of the human hand is so meaningful!
This morning like every morning , I awake with Rob's hand on me! I touched his hand, fingers nails and thought of the importance that meant to me. You see it's not just a hand!
The love is shown by the use of a human hand! We meet monarchs, presidents and people of importance such as movie stats and even everyday as we meet someone we shake hands! So much is said of a human hand. It can show power, presence , weakness all on how you shake a hand.
But the importance of a hand around you as you sleep tells you that you're ok. It shows love! If you touch it and thing it shows how hard one works or does not! It shows care and it shows love and comfort.
I am lucky to always have a hand to hold as we walk as we sleep and as sometimes I feel a need to touch it, to hold it so I know its OK!
Next time take a few minutes to see how much you're partners hand means to you! And by the way if you have a mechanical hand the same principle apply!

The loss of a Genius! See You Soon!
I woke up this morning feeling just a little different! Even though all the same aliments still effect me yesterday a little of me was lost! I never met Steve Job's or Bill Gates but indirectly I was very involved in supporting their genius efforts.
My teams tested one of their first computers as I was part of the team that invented the Modem! I tested his software and from the inset it was obvious the kid was a genius. I am not going to talk allot about what he di and what he achieved since it's all out there and the technology everywhere! I believe every human today in one way or another was impacted by Steve Jobs!
My sister is facing terminal cancer. I deal with the thought of loosing her everyday! But it reminds us that we are not immortal! It reminds us to appreciate every moment of life! To appreciate those around us who love us or even those that don't!
You knew Steve was dealing with health issues, but never once did I hear him complain! I am sure as my sister knows his time was limited but he pressed on with unimaginable product releases!
Being just 3 years younger than Steve and dealing with my own health challenges you wonder when you're time is up! But like the genius we lost we keep fighting and moving forward and enjoy life and maybe like him we leave a footprint that impacts someone's life!

Recently I had an issue with Holiday Inn @holidayinn and after making a point to address everyone that I could at their web site as well as hotel management etc. I decided to use what I call my link to the world, MY Android!
Within days I had escalated my issue and after I started canceling futire stays that effected other chains owend by the parent company I got my refund for one of the worse stays in over 50 years of traveling.
Since then I have stayed at the @doubletree @Hyatt @embassysuites with exceptional service and quality. Interesting cheaper rates and with breakfast!Not only was I determined to make a point and hopefully get the hotel to improve it's services and quality (including some homophobic people) but I wanted my money back fro not sleeping two nights!
Anyway this nice gentlemen Kevin resolved my issue apologized and we are staying at the International Continental in Doral in November for a family wedding! The point here is that we have the power and we have the technology to make that power known!
Most of us today own an Android and we can reach millions indirectly through our link to the world. It's happening right now in NYC! We are American's! It's the greatest country in the world and we are letting a few right wing called Tea Party idiots ruin our country!
They are the minority but they are very loud! We are the majority and need to be louder! Our country is made of Latinos, blacks, gays and a bunch of other mixes and to let white right wing republicans take us back200 years would be devastating to human rights and to progress.
So use your Droid, your Black Berry (if they still exist) to let everyone know you're not putting up with the bullshit and since the 2010 election has produced nothing but gridlock it's time to put democrats back in control and move this country forward! Do we want another GWB that got us here! That supported the rich and made them richer! That had his hands and lips in Saudi's pockets and lips!
Like NYC demonstrators we have the power to make a change and use technology to make it know enough is enough!

A Different Kind of Slavery, Mexican's!
Immigrant workers everywhere! Dam get those bastards out of our country because we have young American's who want to work 10-12 hour days bent over on a HHH day picking blueberry's! I would ask every fucking republican or anyone making such a statement to spend 10-12 hours in a hot day working on a farm picking anything especially blueberry's!
You see I worked in a farm starting at age 11 on those dark ages called late 60's early 70's because we just arrived from a 3rd world country and we needed money! I worked 60-80 hours a week went to school and made 20.00 to help my mother.
Not only would I NOT do this today! My children did not and would not! I could not get my children to do shit around the house, never mind work 10-12 hours a day for peanuts.
All this republican hype we are falling for will eventually have a cost at the grocery store. Rob and I live near farm land here in Pasco County Florida. This year for the first time, people could go and pick their own stuff or it would go to waste because of lack of migrant workers to pick it. Some did that because the prices were cheap. But the majorly said "fuck that I have Publix"!
Dumb people pick dumb leaders and they our dumb leaders making some drastic mistakes that will make America more difficult to live in the future. Immigrant workers play a key role is providing us food. What we should do as a country is make them legal so they can pay taxes. We should also make sure they make the minimum wage so that prices will double at the grocery stores. There you go!
We bitch at everything but we have NO CONCEPT how groceries get to us and who works hard getting them to us!
We are such stupid people to believe our spoiled children WILL EVER work like migrant workers do!
If Republicans could get their heads out of their ass and we Americans educate ourselves on the immigrant situation we could fix today's slaves! THEY ARE CALLED MEXICANS!

The New Obama! Stop Complaining!
I heard the President speak t the Black Caucus yesterday and I TOTALLY agree! We as American's quickly forget and easy lead astray!We are like pigeons!
This man took over a country that was falling very fast and has recommended some shit to congress and most of the new Republican controlled congress is like a 5 year old and keep saying NO!
They have provided no direction, no new ideas but it's NO to everything the President says!
Their only agenda as happened with President Carter which we also easily forgot was get him out so we can get another republican in there that can fuck us! Maybe they can be lucky and get a Reagan. But I see no Reagan's running!
I for one am happy Mrs. Obama ghas handed Mr. Obama his balls back and that he start telling American's who got us here and that in the last two years the agenda and only agenda is to get rid of the president.
Since the republican controlled congress has offered no solutions and has no content lets replace them with Democratic s or independents who can work to get something done!
Very simple, you go boy! Get angry and just maybe the masses will wake up and remember what it was like 4 years ago. Just a quick note the stock market was at 6000 then (now 11000+) and we we headed for a depression!

Hired, Sight Unseen!
As I listen to the horror stories about unemployment as especially with people after 50 it makes me wonder what happened to society mostly companies try to succeed in today's business atmosphere. There was a time seniority was something everyone was looking for.
I moved to San Francisco because the company needed someone that "had been there and done that"! I moved back across county for the same reason! The exception this time it was "sight unseen"! What does this mean? I was hired purely on my resume and some documents I had written!
OK, so the resume had 4 pages of major accomplishments. Yes, I am proud to say, I have done and traveled allot to assist companies succeed. I loved managing people and developing standards and processes. I was respected not only for what I said, but by what I know!
After two auto accident I am left with short term memory and many other challenges, but my long term memory is intact. It's like work is permanently programmed in my brain. I wake up thinking I need to go to work! I wake up managing people. I don;t think an hour goes by I don;t try to fix or recommend a solution to something that is none of my business. It's built within my brain "do it right the first time"! Yet so many can't grasp the concept. It KILLS me!
So today when someone is near or over 50 is frowned upon, we should think out of the box and utilize common sense! There was a time experience counted for something and actually we got paid for what we could do and knew knew how to do it. Maybe it explains the problem with our society and most companies! When you loss the ones that have the knowledge, it's all down hill from there!
Let's go back to a time when you can be hired "sight unseen"! After all a resume will get you in, but you better know you're shit when you get thee!

Is Sex a Sin?
I find this subject interesting for most people take the bible aspect of creation but never question some basic questions that make no sense! It was this kind of progressive thinking that always got me into trouble as one of Jehovah's Witnesses!
I was never a follower and questioned everything that did not make sense or explanation was lacking! If you believe in creation these are the biblical facts:
Adam was lonely
The creator provided him a mate similar to what the animal kingdom had
they lived in a paradise naked for centuries
They never knew they were naked (explains why no children were born in the Garden of Eden)
They after sinning immediately covered their private bodies
After exiled from the Garden of Eden children were born
It does not take a genius to ask the question! Is sex a sin? It sometimes explain all the taboo about having sex down through the centuries. It's always been an issue with Christians! It's only to reproduce. Most women in 3rd world countries did not know they were to have pleasure (orgasm) until recent years.
This an many other out "of the box" way of thinking makes you wonder if "sex is a sin"! I don't think it is, but I do think sex was a result of sin!

When I was first asked to work at the FAA Technical center my partner and I were a little concerned of the transition from San Francisco to the Atlantic City area. After researching we thought New Jersey would not be a state we would have to worry about our human right (gay rights)!
We were correct to an extent! I was privileged to work for Michael Gallagher who accepted people for their knowledge not their sexual preference. However this was not shared by some of the executives and workers at the FAA! I was released from the FAA for being gay! The manager worked for Frannette Bourne and she along with Bill Balleste did nothing to stop it!
What came as a surprise was tat this was allowed by Frannette Bourne even after the fact. She was a champion for woman's rights especially black women. For her to allow one of here managers who eventually was transferred due to bad performance to release someone for being gay, was and still is appalling to me.
As we end "don't ask don't tell", we as individuals, as a country need to make sure we don't allow any st,pering of human rights against any American no matter what!
I remember meeting a coworker at the TC that when confronted as being gay refused to admit who he was due to being refused a jump in pay scale. Of course I thought that was crazy until I was released. Yes there are lots of gay Americans working at the center and in one case a transvestite but bigotry still exists if they are not protected by a manager who accepts them for their minds and not what they do in the bedroom!
Maybe it has changed at the FAA Technical Center, but I doubt it! It's old school religious mentality that run that center and people like Fran should either be educated that everyone has rights or they need to be terminated!

The Making of a Saint, Insane! Rewards in Heaven, Insane!!
The Catholic Church is about in it's last stages of making John Paul a Saint! This subject of making people Saints fascinate me! When people follow blindly and think of this as a creators way of rewarding good behavior is even more fascinating to people like me who "think out of the box" in this the 21st century.
If people could be made saints (which they can't) then every child born by default would be a Saint since they have committed no sin! However this would be contrary to the bible teaching, that says from birth you are a sinner! So how could an adult become a Saint?
Well the Church has it's man written laws in the processes to sainthood. But there lays the problem, MEN have instituted these rules! They are neither biblical nor mentioned when Jesus was on earth. This is one of those man made rules or processes that people accept and don't question! In the 21st century the fact this still exists, a process and rules from the dark ages in amazing to people who think "out of the box" like me.
Why sane people believe in insane ideas always was of interest to me since a child. I remember I had a problem in my early teens kissing the bishop's ring and I went to church every Sunday! My brother would scream and refused to go into a dark room for confession, so the priest would come out to him! My brother already sensed the child abuse and he was very smart young boy!
Now we look back and we see what the Catholic church did during the dark ages! The millions murdered in the name of religion! The children abused by pedophiles in Church garments! And I am reminded that Satan would impersonate goodness.
Being brought up Catholic then one of Jehovah's Witnesses left an impression in my mind forever! The impression is , how can educated people follow men blindly? Why is it when you question a men driven rule or belief you're chastised? Why is a two way dialog not acceptable? These will never be answered! The reason is that creating Saints, Having men in robes walking around as if they are God's is appealing to some!
But the problem is not that making a man a Saint is insane the problem is that thinking of any man as a God is insane. The problem is that thinking Gob is a man in insane!
If you believe in the Bible you know Moses was privileged to see the glory of the creator! Basically a spirit form of his glory, for if he directly saw the creator he would die. Let's say that is true! It is a spirit! There is no sexual organs therefor he is neither male nor female!
We are a male driven society and think of men woman children etc! In the 21st century you would think by now we would understand there is a force behind all of this (unless you're an evolutionist) creation! But it's time to think out of the box, stop following blindly and just maybe making saints or believing you will be rewarded when in heaven would of avoided 13 terrorist that changed our world forever!
Just like the creator is a spirit (energy) so are we, and here on earth our energy will stay to be used another day!

A love Affair-DUI-Death at The Wheel!
I come from a family of alcoholics! Not something I am proud of but being Portuguese I remember drinking with my dad as early as 7! I could barely see the bar counter sitting on the stool as my dad gave me shots of something called Auguardente (fire water)120 proof and to this day I love it!
Of course times have changed. Yes the legal age for drinking and sex in Portugal is 16 not 21 like in the USA, but it's not 7! Also in those days no-one had cars so my dad would pass out and my mom would have a neighbor knock on the door and she would go pick him up (yes literary carry him) and take him home where the abuse began when he started to sober up! I don't remember a day my dad was not intoxicated!
Today drinking has dire consequences! DUI kills millions of people every year! It destroys life's! It costs the US millions in lost revenues, millions to support coming out of the edicition, millions to financially support drunks and their families and millions i property damage and auto insurance and so on! I think if you're reading this you get the picture.
DUI (Driving under the influence) has also changed in a number of ways! Now it's not just alcohol but we have illegal drugs, over the counter drug elicitation and road rage! Some people get 6 DUI's and don't see the need to change. Some people get DUI's and because of being rich can buy themselves out of one! Some people get DUI's and because they are connected never suffer the consequences! Some people just never learn!
Today DUI's are considered a medical issues! Most if not all insurances pay for rehab treatment and the government spends millions trying to rehabilitate these individuals.
Well let me give you my opinion on DUI based on experience:
A young man In San Francisco (SF)who worked for the light company did not get a DUI, he did not drive or have a car! However part of his job he had a drug test at random! Of course he failed! California considers this an illness and paid him while he went to a program to clean up! Three months later he was to return to work and failed the drug test at which point he was fired!
This lady in SF was going through group therapy for her 6th DUI. She was transported in handcuffs from prison to therapy! Six months later after lots of movies and lots of group discussion she could not see why it was a problem, she never killed anyone so whats the big issue.
This very wealthy man who had hit a telephone pole and caused some other damage to city property and paid for it was in therapy for a DUI. He could never stop saying g he did not belong there because he was very wealthy and could pay for what he damaged!
There are many other stories! I know these people because I was there! I had a DUI! Its the first time I have acknowledged this but if this helps someone it's worth it! I only needed one! The embarrassment I felt was more than I could bare! Never-mind the money it costs for the lawyer and the effect on the community. The thought I could of killed someone was always inside my mind!
But you see the point of this blog is that some people have a love affair with alcohol, drugs etc. Until you reach down deep in their hearts and work on the problem for such love their behavior will never change. In my case I was going through so much drama, a new life, a new community, a new partner and dealing with being gay! I drove out alone drank too much and drove home! My therapist reached down deep and from then on it no longer was an issue! Today because of my many illnesses I rarely drink!
A love affair is hard to break! You either need to replace that love affair with another love or the person will not change! You can talk until you turn blue, but when you're in love with the drug of choice and that is the reason for living you will eventually deal with death at the wheel, yours or someone else!
I remember once in a Ferris Wheel Robert and I talking about my alcohol edicitian! Robert said he could not deal with me drinking all the time, I said I could not deal with him taking drugs all the time! Our relationship bond as withdouble sided tape and yes here and there we fall back but it's never been a problem ever since. You see my Love is Robert and Robert love is me. We replace the love for the addiction with the love g=for each other. This is the only way to solve someone dealing with addiction. They need to love themselves, their family, have a purpose to live, understand the devasting consequancequesces of the ir action, and much more before they change!
I have lost two friends to DUI, One I loved from my early years! It was a trip we made often as he drove intoxicated and I i fear of my life! He drove that route on too many times and left earth at an age of 42, but left alone! One died of self infliction after going from middle class no no class living on the streets do to a drug addiction! these two stories are a blog in itself! But both were in love with alcohol and drugs and no matter what I or anyone said it was only a matter of time before tragedy would happen.
The devastation on their families especially the children is heartbreaking! It's a selfish act! You never loved anyone but the drug of choice. Until you love yourself and those around you, the beauty we see everyday, the love around us, peace of mind, a bright future, a reason for being here, if you are driving under the influence you will eventually deal with death at the wheel, your's or worse someone else!

Love What You Do, Do What You Love!
It does not matter if it's a relationship, a home a friendship or a job, one should "love what they do and do what they love"!
This is especially true about you're job! When you have a job for the sake of having a job it effects your mental ability to cope with everyday life. There is nothing worse in life than to get up and go do something you don't enjoy doing. In this economy people are taking any job they can get! For years to come companies will deal with lot's of work related challenges; drug abuse such a over the counter drugs, absenteeism, alcohol abuse and in some place suicide or a shooting of some kind from a dis-grunt employee or a depressed one!
If you live in a neighborhood you don;t like depression kicks in. Millions of Americans have gone from rich to poverty! They have gone from gated communities and shopped at Bloomingdale to trailer parks or homeless and Walmart to Goodwill stores. In years to come this will call all kinds of issues such as mentioned above. This will also effect their children more than having a job one hates!
You're friends! People who have gone from upper class to lower class have in some cases lost their friends. Not that they were friends to begin with, but it's a mental let down! Some will hide from the community and become hermits in their own homes, shop away from they communities so as not to be noticed. Constantly depressed!
Your mate, partner or Bf etc! If you live with someone you sleep ass to ass, you may want to rethink the relationship! Remember if you don't love going to sleep with this person and love waking up with them it WILL NOT LAST! You have to live with someone you ARE IN LOVE WITH, and he/she is in love with you! The same principles apply. Love what you do, do what you love!
We live in challenging times and yes we may have to take any job to make eds meet! This will have dire consequences in the future. They may be just as bad or worse than not having a job! Living with someone because you're lonely is always a recipe for disaster! Living where you despise will cause you mental anguish.
Companies spend millions per year resolving people's issues at work! What companies don't realize are these issues start way before they get to work! I have hired hundred's of people in my lifetime and within the first 5 minutes of meeting them I could tell how stable they are, how happy they are as individuals, how much they will love the job at hand! I never let HR hire people for me! Some people working in HR are not doing what they love and love what they are doing! I loved being a manager! I loved the first 5 minutes of analyzing a person!
My thoughts come from a great book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People! Who you are is based on you're surroundings, YOU. home, friends, family and work! Get these in you're control and find satisfaction and everything falls into place!

You're friends! People who have gone from upper class to lower class have in some cases lost their friends. Not that they were friends to begin with, but it's a mental let down! Some will hide from the community and become hermits in their own homes, shop away from they communities so as not to be noticed. Constantly depressed!
Your mate, partner or Bf etc! If you live with someone you sleep ass to ass, you may want to rethink the relationship! Remember if you don't love going to sleep with this person and love waking up with them it WILL NOT LAST! You have to live with someone you ARE IN LOVE WITH, and he/she is in love with you! The same principles apply. Love what you do, do what you love!
We live in challenging times and yes we may have to take any job to make eds meet! This will have dire consequences in the future. They may be just as bad or worse than not having a job! Living with someone because you're lonely is always a recipe for disaster! Living where you despise will cause you mental anguish.
Companies spend millions per year resolving people's issues at work! What companies don't realize are these issues start way before they get to work! I have hired hundred's of people in my lifetime and within the first 5 minutes of meeting them I could tell how stable they are, how happy they are as individuals, how much they will love the job at hand! I never let HR hire people for me! Some people working in HR are not doing what they love and love what they are doing! I loved being a manager! I loved the first 5 minutes of analyzing a person!
My thoughts come from a great book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People! Who you are is based on you're surroundings, YOU. home, friends, family and work! Get these in you're control and find satisfaction and everything falls into place!

Quality-Holiday Inn-Customer Service
Holiday Inn Quality Pledge (update)
I had a very attentive gentlemen called me from IHG named Kevin who addressed my concerns and refunded my two day stay. We are going back to St Augustine in December and will stay at another IHG hotel! Though it should never take this much effort to resolve Customer Service /Quality issues I am happy to say it is resolved to our satisfaction! IHG promised they would look into improving services at Holiday INN & Suites in St Augustine~
My Quality Customer Service Issue with St Augustine Quality Inn Suites:

about my recent stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites in St Augustine Conf. No.
68139575. Actually you guys picked up on my twitter. It was one of the worse
stays in the last 25 years of staying at your properties.. This concerns me
since I am in Orlando next weekend staying at the Crowne Plaza, followed by
October in Boston, November in Miami December back in St Augustine, January in
Portugal and March in Sf.
If the next stay is anything like my
last stay I will no longer be using the Priority Club services. Unfortunately
the hotel manager did not address my concerns or talk to me until I insisted
and waited for him on my departure.
The issues as I noted on my complaint to
Priority One and to him are as follows:
The bed was like sleeping on a rock
The AC was on a sensor and when you fell
asleep it stopped so no AC when you’re not moving
The service when something was needed as
I was told was left up to us. The hotel had one person working and no-one to
take care of customers
I could not locate a manager and he
avoided me until I forced him to see me
Wifi did not work and the IT dep.
(contractor) was incompetent so I had to use the coffee shop next door to the
hotel
No toiletries in the bathroom
As I told the manager I could of stayed
at a cheap beach front hotel and gotten better service and quality.
Unfortunately since he did not see me until my departure there was nothing he
could do to fix the above issues!
I expect more from a hotel of that
caliber. The Holiday Inn express would have been cheaper, better and I would
have had breakfast.

contacted they treated us with contempt saying that what happened did not
warrant any other action than to address the issue with waiting staff. Holiday
Inn and thier management have taken, banked our money and ran. with this
attitude and utter contempt for paying customers, I and my family and friends
will never again use or frequent any Holiday Inn

So - in my opinion, this hotel had no concern about the comfort or happiness of
their guests. I kept in constant contact and they didn't even respond to the
first 5 days of contact. Customer Satisfaction NOT Guaranteed.
So bottom line is since IHG took over the Holiday Inn brand in the America's if you have a quality or Customer Service issue it's not like it was before. They no longer treat customer as assets but as inconvenience unless they shut up and deal with what at times is horrible conditions!
With an overall rating of 60/200 think twice before staying at a Holiday Inn and look at Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton or even Embassy Suites which we stayed the night before St Augustine with excellent quality and customer service!

My daughter loves this slogan, but it's more than a slogan it's fact!
You wonder why people make or do stupid things! Let's briefly speak about the Governor of Texas running for president who I call "Scary Perry"! He may want to look like Reagan, but Mr. Scare Perry you're no Reagan! Though I have only voted republican once in mt life and embarrassed by it after Palin stated opening her mouth too much without advisers next to her, I am a huge Reagan fan!
Like Clinton, Reagan was a president! He may not of reacted to things as fast as we liked and lets face it most of the time was not totally there when we saw him, nevertheless he spoke with authority, looked and acted the part! Mr "Scary Perry", when you open you're moth you say the dumbest things like questioning global warming!
Either you refuse to come to realization that the world is changing quickly and faster than humans would like, since it may mean their existence! But Dude look at your're state! The hottest summer in history and less rain than ever. Actual you're state, if you have noticed is burning. To go on national TV and say that global warming is not an issue is just plain STUPID!
You may say scientist aren't in agreement and you may even say. "dam Al Gore making that documentry about global warming"! Dam it! But Mr. Scary Perry besides you're state, look at the east as they are drowning in water. While you're at it maybe do some traveling, since you're not poor and look for yourself as the ice is melting faster that we expect and that if it continues this way some coastal states you depend to elect you should you be the nominee, will be under water.

Playing With Death, A Human Trait!
I can sum this up with one sentence from a remake of a classic movie Hairspray (one cannot remake a classic like Hairspray) anyway the line goes “I risk commutative diseases, she will risk jail"! You see in our culture or as humans we thrive in playing with death!
We don't think it that way, but we do! Let me explain!
When we were little, my brother and his friends were playing chicken with trucks. The idea is to see who lets the rope go first! Having a smart brother he said fuck no! But his two friends to show he was chicken and they could do it wrapped a rope around their waste and when the truck came near pulled up the rope. The one that just had the rope wrapped around his waste released it and lived the other that tied a knot had his head ran over. They were playing with death at an age of 8!
My brother dealt with that and played with death in his way into his late 30's! But they are not alone!
In my teens I used to be the one (to be accepted) that jumped from one motorcycle to the other on a highway going at 80 MPH and I did the same with cars. I don't know why, I thought it as fun venturous but we were all playing with death!
My best friend always drove drunk! At times he would come pick me up and though I knew better, I got into the car with him and we drove to Newport Beach where he loved to look at the ocean. Many years later that trip on a rainy day took his like. He played with death once too many times. He was in his 40's!
People today chose not to use condoms thereby as I started this blog getting all kinds of commutative diseases much worse that HIV but it's their choice and they play with death. And those that are on the bottom side of things (sort of speech) who don't ask their partners to use a condom because they like the natural thing are also playing with death but that is there choice!
Those who love the rush of a drug and that can be from eating to narcotics love playing with death. Some leave us way too soon. But it's their choice!
People who try to cross the street even though they see the fast approaching car are playing with death as are those that see someone in trouble and react to help only to be the victim. If you think about it, almost everything you do in the course of a day you play with death! Eating raw food is playing with death, not being hygiene as we have seen recently bad teeth can kill!
There are people who play with death on their jobs like stunt men, race car drivers and those that by choice join the forces to protect our country. Sometimes it's the rush sometimes it's by choice and something’s your the victim by choice!
There is a lot of hype on people actions! But I am a strong believer human beings progressed into an animal species that enjoys living on the edge. Personally I have to say it thrills me especially as I get older. After you have accomplished all your life goals (don't get me wrong I am very creative and make new ones) tend to be a little more what I call gutsy and play with death a little bit more!
Lastly there are those like my sister who honestly does not play with death, has had one lover and married to him for almost 40 years and she is dealing with terminal cancer. Maybe just maybe if she played with death, she would not be facing it!
This is the first of my many blogs at age 53! Yes today I am 53 and I will play with death! I hope to blog in coming days, but who knows death may be knocking!

Birthday's After 50 A Celebration Of Life
I have been saying all week I will be 35 tomorrow! Of course everyone knows it's just a play of numbers! Tomorrow I will be 53....
It's an interesting subject since I never cared for birthday's until I turned 50! After that it was how many more will there be.My dad diedd at an early age , 42 I believe and I always thought I would somehow end up going around that time. As a child I never imagined reaching 50, rarely do children think that far.
But here I am the evening of my 53 year on planet earth! Some religions don't celebrate birthday's for various reasons. I think everyone has a right to celebrate what they want, religion should not dictate that. However that is for another blog!
I sit here alone and on the evening of evry year before I turn to a new number, in this case 53 or as I say 35 :-), I think of what I have accomplished and I celebrate. I don;t think of what I am preently dealing with but what I have acomplished in the last year, decade and life!
After 50 we don't celebrate our age for being 50+ is nothing to celebrate. No-one wants to get older but we all welcome the wisdom most of us gain! We all wish we could be 20 with the 50 YO wisdom!
This past year I have tried to help a number of people while trying to assist my sick family and watch over myself! I have this wonderfull man that is besides me every minute of the day and night! It's an amazing feeling very hard to explain!
In the last decade I have dealt with who I am and met this wonderful man! We have traveled to the west and back to the east. We in addition traveled south and moved a dozen times!
In my lifetime I had a wonderful woman and two great children and the creator blessed me with a grandson and son-inlaw and daughter-in-law (in my eyes).
Tonight as tradition says we do a midnight celebration not to what we lost, not to what alles us, not to what is wrong with the world but to the 53 years I have been here and the good I have done to everyone I touched!

Why do we Americans watch silly unrealistic shows like Desperate or is it Depressed Housewife's, Palin catching fish in Alaska, couples going through the wilderness to find love and such other dumb, and what I call red neck shows (not intended to hurt red necks).
I mean, is your life so bored that you need to find excitement through other people who stage their life on TV? Don't you see behind them is TV's stage directors, wardrobe, make-up artist etc.
Are you so dumb to go into that make believe world and then face reality when one of the husband commits suicide because of online claims that may or may not be true.
To me reality shows are up there with watching shit flush!. I shit, I dump, I flush! I DON"T WATCH!
Try the same with reality shows American's!

Irene, Things Learned
I spent 30+ years going over things learned from projects, processes and especially mistakes! The following after much review is what I hope people learned from Irene:
Dont't react to media fear, utilze common sense
Plan but don't use fear to make decisions
Utilize prior situations and it's outcome
Irene was bordering a catergory 1 to a tropical storm not a 4 like New Orleans
The government and FEMA was so afraid of a NO repeat they spent our tax dollars for nothing
More money was lost in business revenue than property loss
Always be more concerned when they tell you not to worry, then I worry
Florida deals with situations like Irene all summer long sometimes worse. We start worrying at a catergory 2 or greator! Why you may say! Well if you have visited Florida you can get 2-3" of rain anytime, you can get a tornado in seconds, just jump behind something or into something! And winds, letme tell you, winds that move things at any second....
Plan, Prepare and execute when you need to. Never use media or government fear to guide you! Most of all listen to words used and what being said. If the discussion is more of what the states are doing verses the damage being done, it's not that bad!
I have been through two HUrricane's, one tornado and a northeastern that left 32" of sonw and closed New England for a week. None of them were expected! That is why now when I am told not to worry I do! And when hype is made i disregard it.

Breaking news; a fear driven media society!
There has to be a voice for common sense! Millions are dying in Africa of hunger (not breaking news). Millions die yearly of cancer (not breaking news). Disasters never experienced by any American on our land in recent years across the world (not breaking news)!
A small earthquake happened this week it was nothing but BREAKING news. Someone hurt their toe, breaking news! Some crack occurred in the tower, breaking news! Irene with winds occasionally at 85 (nothing new to New England is coming and the world stops because it's breaking news.. Windows boarded, elevators stooped, people leave the streets, and hotels closed all breaking news.
Listen if too many people piss in north NJ it floods! I lived there and it was never breaking news!
People wake up, use common sense and leave the hype out the door. Shut the TV and play cards and get off the damm Facebook or whatever you use and go back to common sense. Americans somehow don’t think for themselves they let others do it....

Watching madness develop with Irene
First let me say that everyone should prepare for the worse, no matter what one is facing. But people should be aware that our media will exaggerate the facts and use words to scare the public. Our political leaders will do the same.
I had the opportunity to be in two hurricanes both in Puerto Rico missing them in the USA. They were as bad with it there as was seen in the last few days in New England! First Irene is heading north and due to known facts will lose strength:
Colder water
In and out of land
Colder air
Dam New Englanders that blow it away (joke)
If one looks at the radar and uses common sense and shut the ears to the media hype, one could make decisions for oneself. Yes Hurricanes can be dangerous and all one needs is their house damaged and they are affected.
But let’s not forget from the onset it was hitting as a category one maximum wind speeds at 85 and that is gusts not constant. Yes heavy rain some spots 11 inches... Florida gets that often. Yes power loss, happens every time Miami gets a storm which is daily with transformers blowing left and right.
Yes the north is not used to it! Bullshit! The north gets northeaster storms that make Irene look silly. In 1978 we got 32 inches of snow with winds at 85 and except for some people stranded in the woods for days they/we survived.
I believe in taking precautions but this was all a media fear driven storm!

People managed by fear
Religion used fear of hell to keep people under control during the dark ages that still effect some today. We are the most educated people that ever lived and we still are managed by fear.
I am amazed how common sense disappears when fear is pushed on you! People stop thinking and start reacting. The recent earthquake is a good example. I mean NJ technical FAA center closed down due to fear of an earthquake that happened hundred of miles away.
If we lived in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. I could see how we could be managed by fear. Those people fear for their life daily. We Americans run scared at what I call media propaganda. And we fall for it every time.
Always remember it's when they don't project the fear that we should be cautious. Caught by surprise is what happened in New Orleans? We can't let one or two situations that people took lightly let us run with fear!
Yes prepare, but never let common sense overtake man's fear!

A land of losers, why so many DUI in the Natural Coast of Florida
Robert and I live in what I call hell! I call it that because summers can be any hotter than where Satan would reside if such a thing existed. That being said we are now about to enjoy fall winter and spring and it's all good until HELL arrives next summer! Being disabled keeps me around the house and that makes it worse!
But the reason for this blog is not to stress what my readers already know! We have met so many young beautiful young men and women and the young men have one big issue! Many DUI's! Most have or are going to jail a number of times. Some even look at that as a way to pay for stuff you would use money for!
I don’t know where these young people went wrong! Some were at the top of their class in school and pills, alcohol and other drugs such as alcohol just have ruined their lives. Of course we live in hictown where the best thing to do on a Sunday is go see old people dance at the ice cream store.
Rob and I try to help, but to some the brain is fried and no longer able to distinguish good from bad, loving life from ruining it enjoying a minute of peace verses a minute of high. As crazy as I and Rob have been and sometimes can be, we have never seen anything like this.

If this is not addressed across this country we may lose millions of the next generation of Americans and why we need to keep immigrants that work hard and go to school here... They may be our future!
There is a huge problem when I can buy what they call a blue for 8.00 down the street, Boston street price 80.00, but I can’t get a script for my pain!

But the reason for this blog is not to stress what my readers already know! We have met so many young beautiful young men and women and the young men have one big issue! Many DUI's! Most have or are going to jail a number of times. Some even look at that as a way to pay for stuff you would use money for!
I don’t know where these young people went wrong! Some were at the top of their class in school and pills, alcohol and other drugs such as alcohol just have ruined their lives. Of course we live in hictown where the best thing to do on a Sunday is go see old people dance at the ice cream store.
Rob and I try to help, but to some the brain is fried and no longer able to distinguish good from bad, loving life from ruining it enjoying a minute of peace verses a minute of high. As crazy as I and Rob have been and sometimes can be, we have never seen anything like this.

Google+, marketing gone wrong!
I have always been one to embrace new technology. Even in my limited capability I try out new things! I believe its new technology in allot of fronts that will help the world with lots of challenges facing them.
Enter Google+, there I am excited I will get to try, test or at least be invited since I have been using Gmail for years (not as long as MSN0. Well here we are 2 months later and from what I can tell its still being tested. Or in my words like twitter the wealthy have it and eventually us the poor.
I think it's a huge marketing mistake! People hear about something new they get excited and eventually lose interest. I mean I figured it would kill Facebook, but Google is giving Facebook time to become more like Google. Big mistake!
Maybe no-one at Google will read this! But take it from someone who was involved in technology for 0 + years; be ready introducing to masses and kill the competition. I know you need to test and ramp up... BUT TWO MONTHS... come on your Google!

Solving our fiscal responsibility
Nobody wants to hear and while at the doctors the other day while the senior citizens were bashing Obama (he does have a major problem as he faces re-election) I had to stress the underlying problem that everyone forgets!
Who pays for the 80-100M it takes to become a president or a senator and in some cases a congressman? Why does so much money go into a job that pays 200k to 400k? This is the question Americans should be asking!
1, Commercials should not be allowed and if there are some they should only address what your going to do to solve problems facing us. No negativity on the airwaves!
2, No money form PAC's or companies. Just money from American and limited to 10.00 each
3, One cannot use their fortune to run for office.
4, You have to have a brain but going to Harvard should not be a requirement for office!
5, If you lie about your record or mislead the people you should be disqualified from office!
6, Religion cannot be mentioned or be a platform for any candidate. Address challenges facing us and America.
Well this would be a start!

A few examples on what is wrong with government! FRAUD! maybe!
I hope this gets passed around to hearing ears in Washington! I would love to talk to congress on national TV on my experiences with both supporting the FAA and the Military on Process Improvement/Quality Engineering!
FAA
I spent about 6 years supporting the FAA through two contractors that milked the FAA for millions with no concrete success in meeting defined goals. You see the Director/Manager had some goals on her radar that had to be met and through millions you can achieve anything on paper but money does not change people's behavior, especially in government! Common sense if explained correctly can. But then again that is why I left the FA!
US Military, NY
This was just all wrong! My first 4 months was sitting in a car waiting to be called and never called! Let me remind you they are paying me 85k a year and the contractor maybe 200k. Then I got a space supporting someone who was supporting the Military. YES, they hired me to help someone who was hired but could not do her job. She had a doctorate on what I call stupidity!
This was the goal! Define a process that did not exist so congress can fund the organization as if it delivered something. People thought L3 was crazy and I thought what we could do with 20M dollars. I hear they eventualy lost it all including a 300M contarct they had for over 25 years! They should of been prosecuted for fraud!
Well there is more these are just two basic examples of contractors supporting government with proper oversight!

People warm your heart!I
I have had the opportunity and privilege to mange or work with some of the most talented people on earth. This week one of these befriended me on Facebook! I worked with this individual for around 3 moths before I got sick and he left an impact in my life and I think I left an impact on him. It's been 4-5 years since we worked together and he has moved across country but a hello from him just warmed my heart!
Its not just Srinivasa, but there is Scott that goes back 15 or so years! We rarely chat but when we do it’s as if we just worked together yesterday. There is Sukanta, Ron and another dozen or so that are in touch with me.
And so though we have yet to make friends in this area! These special people at the right time call or drop me an email or an IM just at the right time when my heart needs to be warmed. We underestimate the power of people in our life! There is my cousin Mary Jo that just a phone call or lunch brightens my never mind my heart! She makes the time to see me at least once a month with her busy schedule!
One cannot forget the people that sometimes makes you want to hit them with a broom, but then this huge smile comes out that melts your heart, this happens to be something Blaine can do! This morning I can't get out of my mind the role we play in making someone’s day special.
