In the last 50 years I have seen some amazing human and/or natural disasters and am always amazed at the human spirit. What we are seeing in Japan is no different than many other major disasters in the last 50 years.
The human spirit is one of survival, and so though many may die during these disasters those that are left have a stronger will to carry on! They picked up the pieces and make the world a better place to live. We constantly hear of the end of the world and to thousands the world ended app. a week ago in Japan.
For those that lived they will be stronger, have a greater meaning of life and pass that on to the next generation. We were built with a will to survive. Just look at any place that had a disaster that even if humans still cannot occupy it today nature has taken over.
It is said that if NYC was left alone and no human occupied it would go back to its natural state within 300 years. Yes even if we are not here the earth is made to continue. If we are smart we will work things out learn from both natural and human made disasters and live for many years to come.
